Hi. My name is Angelina and I am a
print + web designer,
an idea generator, an innovator, an experimentalist, a narrator, a photographer, a self taught techie, a curious individual that likes to learn and dabble in a little bit of everything.
I am an user centric designer who believes that design should be "multitask-able." It should not only achieve its intended purpose, but put forth additional uses for its users in order to create truly interactive experience.
I am a graduate of the York / Sheridan Design Program.
I am currently available for full-time, contract and freelance work. Please email me for any inquiries.

Power Unit
Creative Direction + Program Book + Identity
Night it Up (formerly known as the Toronto Night Market) is one of the largest night markets in Toronto. Run and organized by youths, it donates its earnings to a different charity every year.
Encompassing this mentality, a playful yet cheeky approach was taken. Vibrant colours, user friendly maps, and a fun and "hungry" mascot was created and branded to its image.

ABEL
Identity + Branding + Website
The award-winning Advanced Broadband Enabled Learning (ABEL) Program transforms learning by connecting people, virtually and face-to-face. However, their site was outdated, and their branding was inconsistent throughout all their materials.
ABEL was revamped under these considerations, evoking a professional, consistent, and user friendly appeal. Statistics revealed a significant increase in website visitors and usage due to the new information architecture.

Sprout
Identity + Branding + Package
Inspired by the idea of reusing newspaper for gardening, this bilingual gardener's kit is designed to be truly sustainable and multi functional. Aimed at beginners and intermediate users, every single piece in this system is designed to have more than one use.
The seed cartons serve as biodegradable pots that can be directly planted into the soil. The glove container dual purposes as a pot maker, allowing one to roll newspapers into larger seedlings pots. The bag transforms into a gardener's waist apron. And all labels contain "news articles" tips on effective gardening.

Kensington Market
Wayfinding System
In celebration of becoming a National Historic Site, this wayfinding system invites pedestrians, both locals and tourists alike to explore and discover the numerous hidden gems of Kensington Market in the form of a treasure hunt.
Inspired by the many sightings of chickens around the neighbourhood, the goal of this wayfinding system is to perserve as much of the Kensington spirit as possible.

Carnaval de Quebec
Poster + Program Book
The poster attempts to deliver a simple message using simple symbols: "Snow in Quebec, the Carnaval de Quebec must be coming"
The bilingual program book takes account of the outdoor environment, becoming a compact foldable piece that is easy on the mittens. It is portable, legible upright on both sides, and includes tear away timetables for any day to day festival on the go.

Jelly Belly
Package
Bright, energetic and with wacky characters, this jelly bean series is created with the intention of becoming a collector's item that is both reusuable and resealable as a container. Each one is shaped like a jelly bean and features a zipper open and close tab that shows the colours of the candy within the box.
The concept is that you're opening the character's stomach belt. They also come with a mini series that is even more portable, making the collecting twice as fun. It hopes to inspire kids of all ages to keep their packages.
